i know, i'm probably just impatient, but does anyone know any details about scholarships? i searched scholarships on the main page, but it says that as long as you've submitted your fafsa, just refer to your myec page for scholarship status. does that mean they automatically consider you for scholarships? did i miss a deadline, it also says their periods are quarterly, but it doesn't give a date...i just thought of all of these questions at work on friday, of course now, have to wait until tomorrow to call them! oh, i need to learn to be patient...but i don't want to miss out if i need to send some info to them!

thanks, you guys! i am making this whole excelsior thing so hard! i live in a very rural, traditional area, so everyone keeps telling me to watch out, i've got to be missing something, it's too good to be true, etc...but, every time i've done something with excelsior, it has been just what it said...so, i need to just relax, study, take my tests, and change those lpn letters to rn!! good luck all!

I got a scholarship through EC, I got almost two thousand dollars. Just by filling out the forms. It was well worth it. Good luck.

wow! that's really encouraging! i would be so happy with just enough to be able to finish my anatomy and micro classes and maybe a workshop before cpne...2000 is the biggest i've heard them giving anyone! i've seen several people say they got 1000 and a couple for 750...maybe there is hope! how far are you in the program?

Sometimes, I think they may have made a mistake. I questioned it, but too late it's already been spent. I am right now preparing for the CPNE, will be testing soon. I still have micro to take but that will be done after the CPNE. Let me know how micro goes for you. Best wishes.

broke down and called the financial aid office this morning...she told me that they are starting their review process now, so keep our eyes on our email boxes, that they will notify us if we get anything...the good news for me was she looked at my fafsa and said "oh, your efc is 0, so you definitely qualify for a scholarship. i'll let your counselor know you're interested!" yeah! now, back to the patience thing...i'll try to do better this week! she didn't say how long the whole process will take, but at least we know it is happening. good luck everyone!!

Yeah, you will be getting something. When I first started my EFC was 0. Now I make more money so I don't think I will be getting anything...especially since I didn't apply. You know what? I will be applying again, you never know. Thanks for reminding me. Keep us posted.

What if already received an scholarship this year? I was told once from

someone from the fin aid dept that you can receive scholarship only once an year.

Do anyone know if that is correct.
