i'm confused are you taking the lpn boards this summer? you can knock out the test quickly . i did mine in 3-4 months (if you have the pre- classes done) but it is the cpne that will hold you up . currently the wait time is something like 7-8 months.

I got the nursing exams done in exactly 2 months. Just getting my info together for CPNE app. Does anyone know if an RPAC has shorter wait time or all they all about the same? I'm leaning towards MPAC just b/c it's a little closer to me. Any insight would be most appreciated as this part of EC seems like a frustrating process compared to taking the exams.

The NPAC seems to have the shortest wait time, followed by the MPAC, with SPAC coming in last. That's just based on my observations, though -- no solid data. :)

Finished just shy of 8 months. Had NC 1-7, micro and CPNE. Worked my butt off. Good luck!

I've known some to finish all their exams in 6 months. I just finished all mine. It's going to be at least 4 months before I get a date for the CPNE. I applied for the MPAC. Honestly, if I had known the wait would be this long I would have taken a different route.
I took the first nursing exam at the beginning of June and took my last one in mid-October. If you really apply yourself, it doesn't take that long to study/learn the material. I only work three days per week, so that helped, too. :)
exnavygirl -- I hate to tell you this, but I've been waiting since November 6 for my CPNE date from MPAC. I've been told it'll be a "few more weeks" every time I've called, so I figure the answer is they really just don't know when they'll be able to tell me. LOL. But if you apply for a cancellation date with very short notice, you'll get in much faster -- it's likely you could be taking your CPNE within the next five months. I know that sounds like a long time, but it flies. It takes a while to make it through the EC study guide anyway! Heh.

Anything under a calendar year is just pure LUCK!
Count on 2-6 months for exams (I took 5).
CPNE Scheduling can be maddening. Count on 4 (ha!) to 10. (Mine took 4 1/2)
After you pass - it can take another 1 1/2 months to get you degree conferred and final transcript released --- this is necessary to sit for the NCLEX!!
Still a great option!
Good Luck!
