Excelsior on the GI Bill

Can anyone tell me if the GI Bill covers everything for Excelsior? Like all the tests and the enrollment fee? I've managed to save up enough for the application fee, but the enrollment fee is too much for me right now. Thanks!!

I believe Excelsior is a Yellow Ribbon school, so it should be covered. But definitely ask the school!

Hi SITL,

I am actually receiving the post 9/11 GI Bill now. They definitely cover the enrollment fee and all exams. If you are doing your ASN (credit by exam only)I wouldn't say it's the best option too use. At least it wasn't for me. I only had a couple of months left and each exam counts as 26 days or something like that. I would advise that you speak to a VA counselor and see what your best option is. They will explain it best. I found that the Veteran financial aid advisor at EC was not a big help. GI Bill #18884424551. Also if you are a NYS resident. This is another option.

I too am actually using the post 9/11 gi bill... I have completed all tests today (even though I sadly failed it with a D), and it has only taken away somewhere around a month and a half. They only bill you for the days you are registered for an exam til you take it, so the key is to study with study guide and then register when you are ready and test within the next couple of days... it is possible!!
