Hello everybody- I am a paramedic that is currently doing my gen ed requirements for nursing through excelsior. I have gone with college network for my study guides. So far I have completed developmental psych, sociology, A&P and im taking my microbiology test within the next week. I was wondering if anybody has done the analyzing and interpreting literature clep? How difficult was it and how much time was required to study? After that I have to do english comp and possibly biology before I can start the core nursing classes. Any advice or recomendations for the rest of my gen eds would be greatly appreciated!

Good Luck!
Awesome thank you very much. How much studying did you do? Also, what did you do for your english comp requirement?
A&I of lit took me about 6 weeks start to test.... of hard study... put a lot of hours in over those 6 weeks.
I did the 6 credit EC Eng Comp....Got a C on it which is fine with me. I suggest going the 3 credit course and then another course instead.... The 6 creadi Eng Comp is not a nice test:down:

To gatormedic, I used UExcel for my 3 credit English Comp requirement and then I took Ethics in America (DANTES) for my additional 3 credit Humanities requirement. Taking these two exams took less time then I actually wasted trying to digest enough info for the 6 credit English Comp. So I think I studied about two weeks for each and got a B on each one. Hope this helps!!
Ok thanks I will look into the Uexcel test. Isnt there 6 credits required for humanities?
There is 6 credits required, I took Intro to World Religion (DANTES) and the other one was Ethics in America (DANTES). Both of these and the UExcel English Comp were not hard courses and the DANTES tests are not as expensive either. I googled DANTES tests and got my study info pretty inexpensive too. Good luck to you.
As far as I know we need 9 total credits for the Humanities and at least 3 of the 9 have to be Eng
