I will be there Nov. 11th-13th....My daughter passed it a year ago.

I failed both pcs today.

I'm scared. I hope to hear from you today.

I'm trying not to give into despair but it's not working.

40snfabulous, the weekend after I tested at Mansfield in 2008, a friend of mine failed both her PCSs at Mansfield on Saturday, then hung in there for the win as she passed three PCSs on Sunday. YOU CAN DO THIS. Take time to breathe and focus. It isn't over yet!

40snfabulous:: just because you failed today does not mean you are going to fail tomorrow..forget about it..get your head back in the game!! You know your stuff. Take a deep breath and get some attitude!! Be confident and know that you are going to ROCK your PCSs tomorrow!! I am testing there in a couple weeks and up till last night I was letting fear and nerves consume me. But it is a mindset you can put yourself in and that's where I am deciding to be. The right frame of mind makes a world of difference. Remember, you don't have to pass 5 PCSs. You only have to pass 3. You got your practice two over with this morning. Now it's time to whip 3 out and go home!! YOU CAN AND YOU WILL

40snfabulous, you seem very nervous. Take your time and exhale & inhale. You can do it. Believe in yourself. Go back to drawing board, find out what you didn't do and do it tomorrow. You own this. You spent to much money and time. I will be praying for you.

I didn't pass because I failed to verbalize start while taking the pulse.

The ce was holding the other hand.

This is not a reflection on Mansfield. The staff was great!

The CA and the CE's outstanding.

It was possible to pass yesterday I passed the first pcs and the second one was when I forgot to verbalize.

As you know Sunday was do or die I needed to pass all three.

I'm disappointed but it is possible. I plan to return I just don't know when.

I am going to write a letter to excelsior that I don't think you should have to repeat the entire pcs if you forget something like that. You should be allowed to retest on the part you missed or failed. This is my opinion.

I would recommend this site highly. I just was

overwhelmed with their good vibes and encouragement.

I am happy that I didn't fail because of anything major. I remembered all my critical elements and it was just this minor thing.

I'm also, angry with myself too. However, it is a lot to remember and I was nervous. I know I am a good nurse and this does not define that in any way. Don't give up you can do it. I know I can do it. I just have to try again.

THere def needs to be changes made to program, we should not fail for not saying something like "I will start counting pulse when second hand gets on the 12"

But you have to do this -- otherwise the CE will not know when to start counting with you to check the accuracy of your vital signs. How else can you do this?
