Hello, I am currently a criminal justice major, finishing up my Bachelors but having a hard time finding a job out here. So I have been considering switching to nursing because I know that there is always work and I do have a love for helping people. I was going to begin classes at Lincoln tech but its just so far, like a 40 minute drive (each way) and its a 2 year course, only 2 nights a weekend and every other weekend 8-3 each day. I would prefer something thats like 5 nights a week, I havent had any luck finding anything, most classes seem to only offer that for day time classes. Anyone know of any other schools offering evenings? Thanks

You may want to read all of the threads on new grads unable to find jobs. The nursing job market has been very tight since 2008.

Lincoln Tech is an LPN program. There are several ABSN programs that have evening classes. Bergen offers an evening associates program
There are no guaranteed nursing jobs. There is a shortage of specialty experienced nurses. There are many new grad RN and LPNs looking for their first nursing job in NJ some for a year or more.
With the high number of RNs looking for work , many of the traditional LPN jobs in LTC etc are being filled by RNs
