EVC (ADN) vs. WCU (BSN)

Published

Hello,

I'm trying to decide between two nursing programs: Evergreen Valley College (ADN program), and West Coast University (BSN). I've been accepted into the EVC program for either Fall 2014 or Spring 2015 (yet to be decided). On the other hand, I would be starting at WCU in the coming week. Some insight from graduates/current students of either program would be fantastic. Also, I am leaning more towards EVC and their program due to me being a local of San Jose. If I were to attend EVC and complete the program, I would also be interested in pursuing an RN to BSN program.

Thank you all for the advice and insight regarding my dilemma .

Evc is practically free education where as WCU is like 2 home down payments. There are way more reasonable methods to get your BSN, I'd get that free adn and bridge it afterwards.

Thanks for the input! EVC was my initial choice, I just find myself worrying about getting into a decent bridge program afterwards. One step at a time though I suppose.

I agree with zzbxdo. I am in my 4th semester at EVC and I have zero debt (and I don't get any financial assistance). I don't know anything about WCU, but EVC has been great and has a good reputation in the San Jose area. I would never pay over $130,000 for a BSN.

You can bridge for a lot less than that!

Good luck!!!
