Entry level medical sales

Hi fellow Allnurses!

I am having a tough time with finding adequate employment in my home town. As a result I have been doing travel nursing which has been great but I now want and need to go home.

I am also 50 yrs old and I am tired and no longer want to work nights etc

I am wondering if ANYONE knows of any ENTRY level Medical sales positions or Companies that hire entry level people.

I am an associate degreed R.N. with over 20 yrs of various experiences including psychiatry and detox as well as other areas.

I need some ideas on making a sustainable living without having to work in a hospital.

I would LOVE to do Medical Sales but have no sales /marketing experience.

Any ideas?

Aim at companies that use devices/products that match your experience. Almost all of them will train new sales staff if you have the right clinical experience. Be aware that you often have to travel/be on the road a LOT as a medical device salesperson - it's tiring in it's own way.

Being on the road as a travel nurse is not the same as constantly driving/flying around for a medical device position. But it's definitely something that's fun for a while. I lasted about 4 years before going back to clinical work.
