Entrance Exams...

I see that a lot of you are having to take a nursing entrance exam when you apply into a program. The school that I am applying to doesn't require this. I was just wondering, does having to take these exams depend on who your school is accredited by? Or is this something I might have to take later? I'm confused :uhoh3:

I think it is probably just based on the preference of each school's admissions committee. Out of 4 schools I applied to, each required a different test (TEAS, HESI and GRE) and the fourth strictly goes by GPA.

Yeah, the tests are just another standardized way of ranking applicants.
