if im an immigrant in the u.s. do i still need to undergo an english exam to get hired in a hospital as an R.N. in california?

All depends on the hospital or BON
yeah, im wondering does anybody here knows if that applies in california?
Will be on their website if for the BON but hospitals may have their own requirements so will need to ask them

CA only requires the English exam if you are going to get the IP, interim permit. But that also requires the CGFNS exam if you are a foreign grad.
So there is no reason for you to have to do the English exams as far as licensure goes, but an employer may require them, and that is their option.
