NJ Endorsement

I trying to get NJ license by endorsement, but looks like the process is long and tedios. I check other nurses answers but not for this year! any one recently went thru this process? can you tell me how long should I wait? I call the board almost every other day and the answer is to be patient. any suggestions out there?

Most endorsements take 4-6 weeks assuming your federal background check is clear. NJ is not quick by any means. If you applied online you can check your application status online

Took me 4.5 weeks start to finish back in December. After two weeks, I called the NJ BON twice a week and NICELY introduced myself and said I was checking on the status of my application. I think after the fourth call they just wanted to get rid of me, so I got license number online like 30 minutes after my fourth call. Again, NICELY* is the key word. I worked in retail previously and yelling or being snarky will get you nowhere. Good luck! :) (edit - not saying/assuming you were being snarky! Just a general note)

hello! the entire process took less than 4 weeks for me. when i called they told me it hasn't even been through the first round of review yet but that i should be getting it soon. i explained i really would like to have it within the next week and they continued to say how many applicants they have. i nicely thanked them and told them to have a great day. my license number was posted 30 minutes later!

Hello. How long did it take for you to receive your fingerprint papers? It's been almost 2 weeks since they said they mailed it and I still haven't received it. Which doesn't make sense since I live in New Jersey :(

I'm not positive but I want to say a week or 2 after I submitted everything I got the fingerprint form. I would call the board of nursing and tell them to send it again just incase!

I'm confused about their checklist. They have a checklist after filling up the application and there is another checklist in which you can check every time you log in at newjersey.mylicense.com . I just filed and payed an application for endorsement online a few hours ago and sent a mail including the birth cert, picture etc. What should I do next? There is already a next checklist in where you could check it every log in but no detail on how to send it.

You don't send the checklist. They complete the checklist as items are received

Oh. Because the 2nd checklist is asking for CGFNS and some other stuff not asked on the first checklist that you should mail to them.

Are you an IEN? If so CES is now required for endorsement as well as English language competency. This thread is in the NJ forum and responses assume the nurse is US educated and present in the US

I am IEN and endorsing my license to NJ. I am going to for fingerprinting this weekend. I am confused about my checklist too.

In my checklist there is no CGFNS mentioned. How should i know that i need CGFNS? Is there any written instruction about that, which could be helpful?

And my 2nd qn is: I did verification of license via nursys on 2nd march. It is not checked till today's date. What is the reason behind that?

I appreciate the help.
