Reaching out for some good vibes and support from fellow nurses in recovery!
Job interview tomorrow and feeling nervous! Should be a pro by now at this but it always seems like a new scary adventure I'm going on!
Even if bringing up the monitoring program and restrictions I have isn't well reciprocated I know the experience will be worth going on this interview.. This is a behavioral health position and I've tried to prepare myself for possible interview questions but for me interviews are always a scary experience- thanks for this forum and any encouragement. ðŸ˜

Wish you best of luck! I know it's hard--when they find out about the monitoring thing, they sometimes look at you like you have three heads!
Concentrate on the positive, and remember that you've got lots of good experience to bring to this job--you are a good person, and they will be lucky to have you. Hope it works out!
Reading these really helped before my interview! So thankful for this forum and you guys!
Another interview tomorrow for another job, feeling blessed to have these opportunities in my life again.

Wonderful! Please keep us posted. I'd love to hear about your experiences.
I'm going to be where you are fairly soon, and I'd appreciate any assistance you and anyone here can lend :)

When preparing for an interview, remember they're trying to figure out three things: If you can do the job, if you want to do the job and if you will fit in. Try to be confident - remember that the person who is interviewing you is just another person. Try to relax and just have a normal conversation. How do others prepare for interviews? I like to listen to calming music and think about successful times in my life.
Just a short little update, did not hear back from the first interview in behavioral health but have since had a second interview for a dialysis job. This time I land a job I am keeping it for the remaining two and a half years of my contract! I had been back to work since this time last year but in August decided to get gutsy and leave my position in dialysis after being offered a job in hospital. told them about my monitoring program participation from the get-go but once I sent my RMC to them they recinded the offer. All I can say is whew its been a tough 4 months being unemployed again but I still have my 27 months of sobriety so I haven't lost the most important part of this journey :) hoping to hear by next week if I got the job will let everyone know any updates.
this is was suppose to be a short update so I'll end it with happy holidays and bless everyone in this support network!
One thing I can say is keep your head up and do the next right thing! This program is tough but manageable as long as you're sober! I've cursed it plenty of times over the past couple years but at the end of the day I'm thankful to have my life and opportunity to continue nursing.
