Employers paying for nurses to belong to Professional Organizations

Published

I am working on a project at work. Does anyone out there have a program where they have their work pay their dues for membership in a nursing professional organization like (ANA, ENA, AWHONN etc...)

I'm a member of AWHONN and my employer does NOT contribute to the cost of membership at all. :o

I wish.....

but then it is one's own personal responsibility to self-educate or improve by maintaining membership in professional organizations. Yes, employers definately benefit when we do.....but we do, more so, ourselves.

I am an ANA and AWHONN member, myself.

Nope. Sometimes I think there's a reason for it, too. But I've become quite cynical lately.
