@babynurse2018thank you for starting this thread. I applied to the distance ABSN and waiting for a decision. I would like to know how your experience was and if you can give me insight as to how your 2nd and 3rd semester of clinicals were. I looked at the plan of study, and per semester, it is broken down into 2 (session 1 and session 2). Does that mean Session 1 means all didactic/lecture and session 2 is all clinicals? I wanted to know so I can plan ahead just in case!
Thank you, much appreciated!

How was the program. What was the outline of the courses? Were you able to engage with other students?

Hey, I was wondering if you could share some of your insights regarding the program? For some reason, I cannot send private messages. Thanks
The Emory DABSN program is not worth the price tag. My advice is to find a more affordable (accredited) program. Nursing school doesn't prepare you to be a nurse. It prepares you to take the NCLEX, and you learn how to be a nurse on the job. Emory won't make you better prepared -- it will just take more of your money. I was honestly less prepared than people from less prestigious programs because the DABSN program doesn't let you see the specialties. They make you do all of your clinicals in med-surg because it's easier for them to arrange. They say that if you can do med-surg, you can do anything. That's just not true or helpful to people trying to find their niche in the nursing world. It also makes it very difficult to get a job in a specialty after graduating because you won't have any experience -- I graduated without stepping foot in an ICU or ER. And don't expect this program to be flexible if you have childcare needs.
If anyone has graduated from the DABSN program in a Summer term, can I message you with a couple of questions?
