Suture Training for Nurses

My manager has asked me to seek out a suturing course for RNs. Is anyone here familiar with a good course? Location does not matter, as long as it is in the US. Thanks in advance.

Reach out to your suture reps- it is possible the company can set something up. Ethicon has done so for our OR staff to learn to close.

Problem is, we are actually an Occupational Health Clinic, so we don't really have a suture rep. Really looking for a workshop or training, but I appreciate your suggestion. I figured if anyone knows about this topic, it is likely rural ER nurses.

The first thing to look at is if you can be reimbursed for it. In the acute care setting, if nurses suture, there is no reimbursement.

I learned to suture at home on pigs feet with you tube videos. But I don't do it for work just thought it would be a fun thing to learn since we back-pack and camp a lot.

Haha I like where your head is at. We are an on-site clinic, so there is no reimbursement, but rather cost savings. If anyone has an answer for me, I am still watching the thread.
