According to nurse faculty on the EC EPN, the CPNE will not take place in Pennsylvania (Chambersburg or York) after March. The reason I've heard was a "change in administration" at the facilities. So I'm not really sure what happened, but just wanted to pass along the information.

This is bad news, particularly since the two sites in CA and the site in AZ were closed years ago. It is bound to add to CPNE wait times.

That is sad. I really enjoyed my experience @ York. They were fantastic people.

How sad, the staff at York were awesome!

Why do I get the creepy feeling that this is a precursor to not accepting Excelsior grads? I am a Florida LPN but I've been licensed in PA for 5 years now.
It's specific to the hospital system, not the PA BON. But, yeah ... I have to admit my paranoia kicked in.
I read on the EC site that the hospitals signed a contract with another nursing program so there is no longer any room to accommodate EC student CPNE exams. I suppose the new contract is more lucrative.
