Hey everyone. I am moving to the Johnson city area at the end of January. I am interested in starting the process to get into LPN school at Tennessee technology center at elizabethton. I was wondering if anyone knows how long a wait there is? How hard is it to get in? Did you go there or know anyone that went there? I am worried it could take a long time to into the program. I was thinking if it does maybe doing their 23 day CNA course just to get into the field. Any experience with TTC CNA programs? Just worried how long it may take to get into LPN school. At the moment I am not sure of any associate RN programs near JC. Thanks for any input!

I start the CNA program in Knoxville on Jan 30th.
My cousin started the LPN program in Knoxville this week, I don't think there was a waiting list for her.
ETSU is in Johnson City. These are the colleges in East Tennessee with nursing programs

There are only 2 associate degree programs that I know of in the area. One is at Northeast State www.northeaststate.edu and the other is at Walters State Community College which is about 45 minutes away from Johnson City.

I started looking into the lpn program at the beginning of oct.2008 ttc at elizabethton. I put in my application and took the net on nov.6 2008 got my results in about 2wks i passed and i am scheduled to begin classes in may 2009.i talked to the lady at the office and she said it is usually according to who gets there app. Turned in first. But as far as i know the waiting isnt that much of an issue. I know they test evey few months. There is a class starting in may 2009 and september 2009. hope this helped. Good Luck!
