I was really hoping to find soemone else on here who was starting?? I decided to dive in last minute for the full time, which starts on the 23rd....I am so scared. I have 2 small kids under 4 and I am (were) the only working parent right now. We have no savings and barely make it now, so this is sooooo scary. There is no turning back now. I am taking my CPR the same night class starts (they said it was ok) and I am waiting to get my bloodwork done and all medical paperwork completed.

Should I wear the scrub top on first day/orientation?

Do I need a stethoscope yet, or should I wait?

Should I bring my books first day? Its just orientation right?

I am not bright, I would say average...I need to study ALOT to get good grades. With 2 kids and an unsupportive husband...this is going to be hard.. Tell me it can be done!!

Of course you can do it!!! Don't count yourself short. Listen, it's not going to be easy, but anything that's worth while generally isn't. I graduated in June from DCBoces, it's a tough program - but doable. Make sure you find time to study/go over notes everyday...read your chapters, etc....My husband was supportive of me doing the program, but didn't step it up to help with our two kids either...but I did it and am now an LPN. You probably won't need your stethescope until you finish a&p, probably won't need your books at orientation either - there will be lots of paperwork to go over. Best of luck to you and you're gonna do great!!! (kmcm4)

Hey how are you? I start in a few days and I keep trying to chicken out, lol. Are you in full time? How old are your kids? I am sorry I am asking a million questions..I am so anxious! Also where are the clinicals located? I hope they are not too far! How is the program layed out...is there lecture certain days, clinical other days, or is the day split up? Just curious. Basically tell me everything...thanks..hee hee :)
