Okay so I feel pretty silly asking this, but I am looking for a job and I'm desperate!
I'm a new grad from a Pittsburgh area school, and now one of the hospitals that I have my eye on have a job title that I don't recognize-- I've been applying for either "Staff nurse" or "Professional Staff Nurse", but now I'm seeing lots of "Registered Nurse Unit Tier I (or II)" and the pay is significantly (about $3-$4 an hour) higher. I don't know if these are jobs I'm actually qualified for or not, but the descriptions certainly SOUND like the floor nurse positions that I'm looking for. Any thoughts?
BTW my name is Melissa and I'm new here! Good to "meet" you all!

Hi Melissa and welcome. I would guess that when they are talking "tier 2" they are talking experienced nurses. Usually (not always) though if they said "new grads" or "no experience needed" that is for new grads.
however, I know the market is really tight so I would call them and ask if you can apply.
