Why didn’t they accept your chemistry?

Hi! I am finishing one more pre req this fall, but I will be attending Drexel Spring 2020. I don’t know if people have started to figure out housing yet, but I could make a Facebook group as well if people are interested. Thanks!

I would love that. I have a huge sublet to offer a student.

@Annette Davis Not sure why they didn't take my Chemistry. I took Chem 101 with Lab which is 4 credits at Queens College but based on their evaluation form, they aren't accepting it.

Hi @dannyella I think I might be in the same situation. Do you think we definitely have the option to defer admission to Fall 2020?

Hey guys,

I recently got a provisional acceptance letter from Drexel ACE ABSN.

With that being said, I probably will not be able to meet their conditions so might not be able to go.

I took CHM 101 at Camden County College. It is labeled as "General Chemistry for Allied Health Students such as Nursing".

However, Drexel is saying that I have to have CHM 111. Its literally the same course, and billed as "general chemistry for pre-pharm or chem majors".

Makes no sense. They said I have to finish the class by January 15, which is obviously impossible.

They gave me the option of deferring my admission until Fall 2020. I might have to do that, but I really dont want to lose ANOTHER 6 months.

Any advice?

@SNJ_nurse Do you think anyone in this situation will be given the option to defer admission?

I was accepted. My grades aren’t amazing, mostly B and Cs. I had good experience and resume though and I feel that I got accepted because of the various academic coursework and interests other than strictly sciences.

Will not be attending Drexel though. Good luck everyone!

@Hye4 Hi! Would you mind speaking with me about your stats when you applied for the program?

For those who were accepted or applying: What were yalls resume/CV’s like? I really need help with my mine. I don’t have any hospital experience and I’m not CPR certified. So I’m worried that it’ll affect my chances.

Are y’all first aid/cpr certified?

what kinds of things did u have in ur resume?

if anyone wants to dm to help I’d appreciate that so much!

Hi!

This is a late response since I was looking into Ace forums, but have you tried portage learning? It's self-paced and I know it's already mid-December so Idk if you could finish it by next month but I have completed courses in a little over a month with them to complete my prereqs.

@Diepster01 hello!! They dont accept portage ? i tried asking them if they did, but they said they dont. They said they accept online courses from like University of Phoenix (?). I have to take chemistry as well. I was accepted into the Spring term, but had to defer to Fall because of this. Hope this helps!!
