I am currently suppose to be going to nursing school for my BSN in the fall. i am in the nursing program and everything is done but i had to have completed my anatomy 2 class. i was taking that this semester and just got my grades and i was 2 points away from passing. i dont know what to do right now i feel like such a failure, i had A's in everything else and now idk how im going to find an anatomy class during the summer because i am already taking micro bio and working at my local hospital. i worked so hard in that class literally up every night til 3am studying just to be 2 points away from passing and basically having my dream of being a nurse shot down. i felt so honored to get into this university and get into the nursing program and right now i dont know what to do with myself besides cry. my micro class is Monday and Wednesday 8-12 and the anatomy class would be 11-11:50 plus lab which could be up to 5. I jsut got this job at the hospital and i need money and a job. Im going to be 20 and i need to keep working and i dont want to just quit this job.

What would you guys do, would you try and fit in a class in even though the times dont really work?

Or would you just say forget it and try again next semester?

Sorry if it seems like im just trying to get sympathy, im not i just dont know what to do, and i know it was my fault i didnt get thoes extra 2 points but i did work really hard=/

Have you spoken to the professor, explained your situation, and asked if it is possible to do something to make up those points? Sometimes professors are willing to make exceptions if you are sincere and willing to do the work. It's worth a try! Good luck!

Yes, please try again.

It is very frustrating to work that hard and not succeed, but in the long run it really will make you stronger. Anatomy and Physiology is tough! However, you know that it is the foundation of everything else you'll study in nursing school. A good mastery and understanding of it is key to your success in school and in your nursing career. It is doable, I promise. Please take it again. The good thing about repeating the subject is that it isn't an unknown any longer; you've been there and you are familiar with the material. I'll bet you'll succeed wonderfully this time around.

Much good luck and success to you!

That's a tough one. Several years ago, I took Chemistry during the summer session. 5 hours a day, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Lecture AND lab daily. Seriously, it was my job. I had no time to do anything else. I was in school from 0800 to 1300 daily, then came home and studied that days material then read the next days material... it was exhausting. It was well worth it because I finished it in 6 weeks and will thankfully never have to do that again. This is just me, but if I had had to work a job and take another class at the same time, I would have been toast.

I truthfully believe that A&P is important enough to devote all of your available time for. Your chances for success are definitely improved. However, you're the only one who can make that decision. I know that whatever you decide will be the right one for you. And again, I wish you much luck and success in school and in your career!

well the second time around it has to be easier, you will have the jump on many of the students. Many people as well as myself say that micro is easier than A&P. So if I was you, I would take both during the summer semester... I dont know what to tell you about working though... Good Luck!!!
