Hello,
Did any of you apply to Dominican University of California for the Spring 2018 BSN program?
Have you heard from them yet?
I've applied as a transfer with a GPA of 3.8 in the nursing pre-reqs and 3.7 overall.
I am still not sure about this school program because of the high cost of attending plus the 3 year long program and I am wondering if I should just pursue a public school program instead.

Hey itspriscilla! Have you heard back yet? I got accepted to DUC as a transfer and I'm still torn between Dominican and the other schools I applied to (Samuel Merritt and CSU Stanislaus). Not all public programs are a 2 year transfer program. Which is why I am conflicted bc some CSU's are a 3 year as well.
Hey yes I did hear back from them. I got accepted as well as a transfer and I am considering on going. Right now I am waiting for them to send me the financial aid packet to see how much aid I qualify for. Did you apply for FAFSA? If you didn't you should they provide grants. And also if you already do have FAFSA put in their school on your FAFSA application and call the financial aid office to ask about the financial aid packet.
Is anyone else considering on going?
Did you get into CSU Stanislaus? If you did that one is way cheaper than Dominican because its public.

Hi, applied to Dominican Spring 2018 as a transfer. I did not here from them back yet.
How did they notify? By email, phone call, or by mail? I am very anxious
Stan State withdrew my application bc they said they didn't receive my transcripts which I sent months ago... but that just made me choose Dominican bc I just had a choice between Samuel Merritt and DU. Made it an easier decision for me.
Yes! I received my financial aid letter but I am considering on going to the school to speak to a Financial Aid counselor to see my estimated cost of tuition.
@iitsmomo I got an email, my friend got a phone call, then we both got official admission letters in the mail earlier in the month. I would email the transfer admissions counselor or call admissions if you still haven't received anything.
@itspriscilla what did your mailed admissions packet include? I am trying to get a sense of what we got in the mail.
Admission to the university letter?
Financial aid letter?
Checklist?
Any letter from the nursing department itself?
@gmhnikki do you think I'll hear back from them sometime this week?
