Does CA BON update on holidays?

Published

I'm just wondering because I took my NCLEX on July 1 and I don't know my results. I know the CA BON doesn't update the license page on weekends, but do they update on holidays such as July 4? I'm just getting so antsy. I was cut off at 75 questions, so I either did really good or really poorly. Don't know which way to think. All I know is that I got quite a few priority questions, 4 select all, and the rest I don't remember. And I got no "hot spots" or med calc questions. Wish CA would just let us pay money to know results earlier.

The california Board does not post on holidays waiting can make you go crazy but i hope you passed good luck i would say dont think about it but we all know how hard that can be god bless

California will permit you to actually take the exam before they receive your transcripts, so that is the main reason for not letting you find out early. They cannot release your license until your file is complete. Average wait is ten days, and some states are actually much longer.

Updating requires that the BRN have someone working in the office on the weekends to do that. Once your passing score is sent to CA, then your entire file is reviewed by a human to make sure that it is complete. Not until then is a number given out. And it is not fair to give you your score early if you do not have a complete file.
