Hey everyone! Are any of you guys applying to UF's BSN to DNP program for Fall of 2015?

Do you have access to financial aid and UF webmail yet?

No, not yet. I thought I remembered something about that all being in July. Have you finished all the Certified Profile items yet?

No, I still have to do a few things before completing it. What about you? Have you registered for classes?

Hey guys! I'm currently in my first semester at UF's accelerated BSN program, and I really want to eventually go into their PMHNP program. Would any of you be willing to share how your GPA or experience was when you applied? I'm worried because I'm getting like straight B's right now

LoveNursing7 - no I am going Monday to get my physical and immunizations form done - then I should be able to register. :)

anjunah - I think the minimum GPA is listed on the admissions website...I don't remember what it is but I had a 3.45 with my BSN but I have some other degrees that brought my overall GPA up higher. I would recommend going to the school of nursing and see what they say? I have two years of psych nursing experience. GOOD LUCK with your BSN! Focus on that first - the rest will come :). I was an accelerated student (different school) too and I know how hard that program is! Be proud of those B's!

Hey can you share your credentials coz i am planning to apply in uf pmhnp but im icu background. Is it a req to have a psych background? Thanks

Hello everyone! Congrats on everyone that was accepted!! :) I will be graduating with my BSN in Dec 2016 and started speaking with a recruiter at UF. I was told I could start submitting documents early. Also, what was the avg GPA? I'm currently at 3.3.. Not too sure if that will be good enough. My plan is to begin in January (if accepted). Can anyone give me some guidance as to what I should be doing / looking for this far out (since its 11 months away lol). Thank you!!

I realize this is an old thread, but how much of this program is online and how much is face to face? Is it possible to work during the FT option?

Specializes in Psychiatry.

If anyone has these answers I am also looking into UF's BSN-DNP as a choice. If it's a once a month affair to travel to Gainesville I could do that! I own a home in Orlando though, and would really prefer to not move for the PMHNP portion of my nursing education.
