Do well on TEAS = do well on Kaplan?

Published

Hey guys. First post ever here.

I will be applying to 2 different nursing schools over the next year and each school tests and admits students differently. One school gives the TEAS test but only administers the Reading and Math portion, and the other school gives the Kaplan entrance exam which covers Reading, Math, Writing, and Science. I have 2 excellent study books for the TEAS. I also have a not-so-excellent book from Kaplan. I feel like the Kaplan book is geared for a broader range of tests and it seems like it is overpreparing me for the real Kaplan test. I'm doing very well in the TEAS portion of my studies, but the Kaplan math portion seems to be a bit over my head (it has geometry and a few other things that TEAS does not cover). My question is if I study and do well on the TEAS exam, is it a good bet that I would also do well on the Kaplan test? I'd rather just sit and study the entire four sections of the TEAS books I have rather than invest any more time and research into more Kaplan study materials.

Thanks in advance!
