Do you use a comma in Drug Dosage questions?

Published

I have been studying like crazy from NCLEX 4000 :up:. I was told all through out nursing school that we dont use the commas in our math answers for Drug Dosage answers nor the end title. For example:

If an answer is 1,625 mcg's = we put 1625

The NCLEX 4000 marked me wrong :down: for putting "1625" and said that the correct answer was "1,625".

:confused:MY QUESTION IS:confused::

Do we need to worry about putting the "," in our math answers on drug dosages for the nclex? Thanks, I take mine on Monday the 25th (4 days). :yeah::nurse::uhoh3::eek::redpinkhe

Heavens. I do not know, but it certainly should not be that way. Nowhere have I ever been required to use commas when dealing with math amounts, ever.

I took my NCLEX on 08 and I'm pretty certain all the quetions were multiple choice, including the 'math' ones..but I honestly don't remember 100%.

I'm interested in what others who've taken it recently say. Scarey..can't remember if it was all multiple choice or not..LOL..getting old I guess.
