Love 12s but ideal? 16 every Saturday and Sunday and thats it.

Specializes in MEDSURG/TELE/ORTHO.

12hrs positive is that it gives you option for working 3 days in row and off for 4 but after 3rd day you are completely exhausted, drained and stressed too.

8 hrs positives is you get some time in evening to be with family, friends or doc's appts but it also involves more days perhaps 4-5 day per week.

it depends on what schedule suits your lifestyle.

12's!!! Love the 16's but they're rare anymore...

Figure you're dressed up for the party, what's another 4 hours?

Time with travel, gas... it's just easier and more economical to

knock it all out in any given shift and take more time for yourself

on the days off.
