Do hospitals in your area still hiring? I want to relocate.

As an experienced RN, want to move out Southwest area of the States. I will like to relocate to place where hhas high education standard for kids. With ongoing recession, I know many hospitals are having hiring freeze. Can you tell me if your area still hiring nurses? I Thank you.

Most hospitals all over Texas are still hiring! Especially in the Dallas area, there are hundreds of openings!!! Hope this helps

Every one that I have contacted said they are on a hiring freeze or they only have prn work. Luckily I have a job right now, but it is a nightmare.

I'm in Missouri,...our ER is hiring 15 new grads from the next class (we had 9 from the last class). I have mixed emotions about that. We are actually expanding our hospital and are hiring. Would love to have more experienced nurses!

I'm from Dallas. and i can tell you that EVERRRYYY hospital is hiring. Baylor hax approx 250 nursing openings. Doctors Hospital, Lake Pointe, Centennial, Veterans Affaris, Medical City, St. Paul, Methodist, UTSW, Presby.. i mean any and every hospital you can think of. Hope this helps.

I can confirm PA is not a good place right now. Very tough to find work. I have kept in contact with a couple people while I travel nurse and my friends are still working, but the conditions have deteriorated. One of my best friends is only a couple years from retirement and the hospital mandated a transfer to her and the entire unit. The new unit they are on is pathetic.
