Or are you like me. I feel like a kid in the candy store. I start ADN in the fall and I've been trying to decide what my end goal will be. You know there is CRNA, Midwifery, clinical specialist, NP with dozens of tracks, nurse educator, management. I know I wanna keep going to my master's but beyond that I think I need to wait and hope clinical rotations give me more clarity. But do you guys already know your end goal?

my goal: graduate in one year, get a job: er, med-surg, mental health.
volunteer in a clinic serving those without insurance or with migrant workers;
i'm like to go onto advanced practice and work as a nurse practitioner, which would enable me to do more good working with underprivileged people, but one day and one step at a time-as the hubby would say.

I hope to go for my DNP as they are looking at making that the standard for NPs. Also, I want to specialize in neonatology. I have to work for two years in a NICU before I can apply for one of those programs though. I wish there were more programs for that specialty.

Hi. My name is Adam and I am starting my 3rd semester of nursing school. After I graduate in 2010 I plan to begin working in ICU for a year or so while also obtaining my BSN degree. Then I plan to apply to the CRNA program at MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina.

I want to graduate in one year, and get hired on with the floor that I have my nurse internship at this summer (med-surg, oncology). I want to be OCN certified with in 5 years, and be working on my RN to BSN to MsN in Oncology NP hopefully. Maybe I will go in to Mental Health nursing. I don't know, but that is the great thing about nursing; there is always another specialty you can learn. You can't get bored nursing!

I'm just hoping to find some way to get my foot in the door to L&D. My long term goal is to be a mid-wife. Just graduated and having a hard time finding a job. Right now I'm willing to take anything I can get. I'm willing to work at the bottom to get to the top.
