I work a a local hospital as a phlebotomist and I am in nursing school. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this. It sometimes seens like nurses act like they are above and better than phlebotomist, has anyone experienced this, and when I become a nurse will I start to act the same way?

I have worked in both hospitals that have phlebotomists and don't. I can't say that I have ever had an issue. I look at it as one less thing I have to do.

The only way you will act the same way is if you let yourself. If you are ever in that situation just remember back to when you were a phlebotomist.

Acting superior isn't discrimination..

Not saying that anyone should act superior to anyone esle, but it's only an issue if you let it bother you.

Or maybe they are superior to them as far as work goes...
