Hello! I have read these forums for some time and felt inspired. So here's my story. I graduated with my 2nd BSN this past month. Well I'm scheduled for NCLEX-RN in two weeks. For the past month and couple weeks I have been pushed to use Virtual ATI from my school and to wait for the green light. I'm toward the end of my progress in this course and I feel like I'm not scoring passing levels (60-71%) depending on the subjects. My final predictor was a 62% and I felt completely discouraged. I have been really trying grant it me working outside of studying.
I have bought the NCSBN 3 week course and that expired I was only scoring in the 60% in that criteria and I did read most of the information. I have the Saunders 5th edition and received a 68%. I do have the Kaplan NCLEX 2013-2014 book and have read from that earlier in the month to gain some of the concepts. The only book I haven't had the chance to practice questions from is the Lippincott's Q & A. However, I do have access to prepU but haven't used much of it since graduation. I guess my mind is going all over with subjects and recently I started practicing from LaCharity and do pretty well on those. I feel completely defeated! I was the "B-C" student because I worked full-time and really tried but I'm a poor test taker. These scores just don't sound PASSING worthy of NCLEX wondering if I should change the time and extend it or it's in 2 weeks where do I even start focusing all of this material? Yet I do have a job linked to this test so the pressure is on! Any advice or others doing the Virtual ATI? I would appreciate any help!

i suggest you have your exam rescheduled - maybe three weeks more. When i took the exam i had only two weeks to prepare, i was in my study table all day but it really wasnt enough.

It's really up to you. I don't want to say go for it and then...... oh, oh. However, I too was an "average" student. My school used ATI Testing throughout the program and I passed all the tests except for OB. I too used the three week NCBSN course with scores in the 70s, pharmacology scores in the 80s. Also, I did a 360-degree change with my diet and ate healthfully for once, went to bed much earlier than my usual 2 or 3am, and I never study for any test 12-24 hours before it's scheduled. Also personal prayer and prayer requests. Result: passed NCLEX, 1st time with 75 questions. The had part is getting a job offer! Best wishes Dreazy86!
Thanks jcal I may take the advice. Thanks grad2012RN you seemed really prepared for it. Which is making me re-think my date on this. I had a better assessment score two days ago and then lately it dropped. Plus I was doing so well at the beginning and I think stress took over. I've learned that I'm this tactile learner so re reading and trying to get it down has been challenging.
