First US ebola patient died --inaccurate news report

Just read this. Sorry if posted elsewhere or earlier.

Where did you read this? I'm super interested in the ebola outbreak and following it quite closely, but haven't seen any reputable sources reporting his death, only that he was still in hospital as of 53 minutes ago.

Source please? As of a web search between reading your post and posting this one, all I can find is that he is still in critical condition.

Sorry. Don't know how to post a link. I just typed in latest ebola news. Site called Arutz Sheva (israel national news) came up. Hope this helps.

Still not finding it by searching that news site. You can post a link by highlighting it in the web address bar, right clicking on it, selecting copy, and then paste it into a post using right click and selecting paste.

That was posted 6 hours ago (much earlier than the CNN article linked previously updated within the hour) and has an incorrect middle initial. I would think that CNN and the other US sites would be jumping all over this story. Nothing on CNN, NBC news, or Fox News.

Not that news sources can be any more reliable. I just checked the CDC website and no updates since the 30th

Doing a Google search, no one seems to have this news except the Israeli site posted by the OP. That seems odd to me. The Israeli site says that Reuters is reporting this, but the Reuters website doesn't seem to have anything; a search there for "US ebola patient dies" comes up blank. There are lots of reports that his condition has deteriorated, but nothing about him dying.

Not true at this time.

From Reuters, the source given by the Israeli site, as of 5:43pm EDT:

UPDATE 5-Ebola patient in Dallas struggling to survive, says CDC head | Reuters

Oct 5 (Reuters) - The first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States was fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital on Sunday and appeared to be receiving none of the experimental medicines for the virus, a top U.S. health official said.

Yes, sounds like clickbait to me. Also, Rose_queen is right - the major US news outlets would be all over this.
