Didn't score high enough on dosage calculations

Published

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice. I was 3 points shy of passing my dosage calculations test today 😥 I'm just finishing up my first 8 weeks of ADN program, doing great other than this. My school offered the class again in the summer but recently canceled due to budget constraints. If I can't take it again before fall semester I will be out of rotation...something I really don't want. My instructor said she would check into adding an online class during summer but no answers yet

Anyone know of any online class I could take? Looking for plan b in case my school doesn't add the class. Thanks in advance, 😬

I failed my dosage calculation test yesterday too I had to get 100%. I got 4 questions wrong out of 10. How about buying the book "Calculate with Confidence 6e by Deb C Gray Morris or even watching youtube videos. Can you maybe ask your nursing instructor to give you some practice problems or asking for a nursing tutor at your college? You can also try going to dosagecalc.com and buying the program to help you out. Good luck!

Ask admissions which online classes from other schools will transfer.

Been there! Calculations for Medications workbook is excellent, helped me, and doable on your own if you can't find a class. Work thru it front to back & you'll own it. I don't know what area you live in but in my neck of the woods, that class is only offered during long semesters as a supplement to the ADN program, (open to anyone) at the local JCs

Hope that helps
