Did you pick your school by it's NCLEX pass rate? If so what was the magic number for you? What is the pass rate of your school?
This is 2011
SCCC Ammerman pass rate 88%
Just curious
Good luck, I know we will all pass the NCLEX!!

The school I picked to apply to, I picked with heavy consideration of their NCLEX pass rate. It's 100% 3 years running.
My LPN program
Western Suffolk BOCES had a 100% pass rate
I guess that's why I'm nervous.
Going From 100% to 88%
I hope you get out what you pit in, and it won't matter.

I looked at NCLEX pass rate AND attrition rate. A 100% pass rate is great but it doesn't necessarily help me if I only have a 20% chance of actually graduating and taking the NCLEX.
My program has a 90% graduation rate (most who leave leave by choice, not because of grades) and a 90-95% NCLEX pass rate. Not 100%, but good enough for me.

No, but I did look at the rate of how many dropped out before graduating, that was more important to me than NCLEX pass rates. Some schools have great pass rates, but HUGE drop out rates, which always make me wonder. I chose my school b/c it was the only one I could get into based on my GPA and grades rather than stupid old SAT scores from 15 years ago! lol My school has great stats though, so i'm happy with it. I go to Aquinas in Nashville.

To be honest I didn't look at any of that! It is the program in my town(and is a good program) from a school I respect(and got my Bachelor's from), it's one of the major schools here for nurses--even as an ADN program, it's very popular and respected. After I was in the program, I found the NCLEX pass rate was usually above 95-97% on first try so yes I am happy to know that.

I considered NCLEX scores, drop-out rate and clinical time (sites).
I also chose my school based on class start availability. I was wait-listed (unbelievable, my grades were competitive) and I was anxious to begin sooner vs later.

I picked my school based on the fact that it was the only one i applied to and that it accepted me.

I didn't look at anything. The school is a CC five minutes down the road from me and that was all that mattered to me at the time. That said, their pass rate is right around 100%, but I didn't find that out till after I had started the program.
