Did anyone pass the NCLEX with little to no studying?

For those of you who passed with little studying, how many hours or questions did you put in? Did you do well in school? Did you do well on the HESI (if you had to take it)?

I really can't imagine anyone passing the NCLEX w/o studying, however I'm sure it's been done before. It really is a whole different kind of test. I know someone who only did 200 questions and failed though. To me, it's not worth the risk of paying $200 and going into that test unprepared. That's just my opinion.

I am with you glamgal, more like 275 dollars plus books, and study reviews! And it's not worth the anxiety and waiting. What you put in is what you get...

My boyfriend seems to differ with me on that. He passed the BAR at one shot. But like you said, it is a different type of exam. I have been studying and reviewing now for 6 weeks, ritually. My nerves are bad....(lol) I test in the morning....:zzzzz:no:

My one friend who is a nurse now started studying 2 days prior to her exam got 75 questions and passed. She also tested 4 years ago. I think it depends on if you are a good test taker or not to make up your mind on how to much effort to put into studying!

I also take the exam in the morning. I've only practiced with the NCLEX 3500 CD for the past few days and I'm scoring between 65-78% on those practice exams. I was determined not to work myself up over this test but now I'm getting nervous. I did very well in school and scored 91% or better on every HESI exam but I'm afraid I'm going to blank out tomorrow.

Relax tonight and try not to think about the test. Yesterday I ran 2.5 miles and walked another 2.5 miles..just try to make yourself exhausted. Have a good breakfast in the morning and go in there and pass that test!! Best of luck to you!! You'll do great!

I was a total slacker.

Bought Qbank 2 days before NCLEX and did a few hundred questions. That's all.

Passed with 75

I guess I answered my own question. Yes, you can. I didn't take any review courses, didn't buy any books. Started studying two days before the exam by doing a couple hundred NCLEX 3500 questions. Passed with 75.
