Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am wondering what some of the competitive scores were that got in.I am also interested in the people who did not make it in and would love to hear your scores as well to see how competitive I am.
Thanks,

Gaston College in Dallas?
yes @studentnurse47, CNA
I got in for Fall 2015...out of the 29 maximum points you can get, I had 28.5. I know a few people that had 27 and did not get it. I am not sure what the cut off was though. I think around 45 people were accepted out of around 250.

thanks for telling me.My teas was not high enough for me to apply.I was low 60.Its sad that my entry could be denied if my teas is not up to par,but with nursing it has to be some good and Bad I guess.Did you do well on your teas?
The TEAS is where I missed the last .5 point. I only made a 72. If I remember right you had to have a 75 for full points for the TEAS. The first time I took the TEAS I only made a 64- with no studying at all. How is your biology and curriculum GPA?
Good score!!! and I am sorry I am being rude. Congrats for being accepted!!!
Well I made a 62 and that was studying for about 3 days . But I will be taking it again at the end of this month. I have a 3.611 for my overall GPA because i got a B IN MICRO last semester so it droped from the 3.8 it was .I cried.i was 1.5 points from a n A.I think i have around the same GPA for science.I have A's in A&P 1 and 2 and a B in micro
That is not bad at all. I know in the previous years they have posted a breakdown of the points people had that were accepted to give future applicants an insight. We got lucky and PSY-241 wasn't required, but they have now added it back as a prereq. Thank goodness I have already taken it. I saw that you posted about CVCC and I have heard a lot of people that did not get in at Gaston got in there. Also there is CCC in Shelby.
Yes I am very lucky to have had psy 241 and I have a B in it as well. I am def applying to CVCC,since their requirements are a little lower.I thought about CCC but they require chemistry and its honestly the last class I have to take. Im just scared to take the teas again and fail
Get the TEAS book by ATI and study it. You have a little while before you have to apply. Gaston is very competitive and I think CCC is also, and spread out over multiple campuses. Keep at it, you will get there.
thank you so much,I am trying to do everything i can so i can be competitive.Im so nervous because i know Gaston will be very competitive but i think if I get a great score on my teas I will get in somewhere ...crossing my fingers!!!!!

I was accepted into Gaston ADN program. I was originally wait listed #12 out of 24 total wait listed. If you were among the top wait listed you were invited to orientation with those who were admitted. I was accepted a spot at orientation, so I'm glad I went. Listed below are my stats:
science gpa: 3.666
a&p 1: A
a&p 2: A
Micro: B
related courses
eng 1: B
eng 112: A
psy 150:A
humanities: A
overall gpa: 3.7
teas score: 66.7
point total:25.5
i just received an email yesterday that psy 241 has been added. So I will need to complete. Wish they would have informed us sooner but anyway I hope this info helps. Just have faith because as u can see my teas and points weren't that high and I still made it. If you are wailisted and offered to attend the orientation GO! You'll be surprise how many don't show up and that puts you in a greater spot! Blessingsí ½í¸€
