A dialysis manager is the manager of the facility, responsible for HR situations, application of company policies, state regulations, state inspections, any call offs to be covered (generally doing it if no one volunteers) and occasional coverage of any other facility that might need help. Generally hours are office hours if there is not a fire to put out. Oh, and you have to know dialysis inside and out.

It was a bad experience for me for a variety of reasons. I left clinical management in acutes and chronics. Do you have specific questions?

I love dialysis management... it is a lot if paperwork, looking over labs, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, survey preparedness, collaboration with physicians, staff and patient scheduling, conflict management, people management, staff meetings, running on a budget.....it's so complex and challenging. But I like it. What can we tell you about specifically? It's more than a 40 hr/wk job at times.
