Hi...I'm taking my boards in 2 weeks....Right now I'm working on NCLEX REVIEW by Judy Miller, this program consist of 17 CDs,paper post unit tests consisting of 25 question each, and a work book.I noticed that Judy the instructor focuses a lot on the patho of the diseases which works out fine with me because in Nursing school I havent really had time to go into patho of the disease too much it was more like craming the information..so to all of you who took, are planning to take NCLEX do you think that knowing your patho is important for the exam thank.

Knowledge of patho is the best:up:. No way of moving forward if someone do not understand disease process. I have adopted these strategy ever bef:Dre graduating from nursing school. :rcgtku:

Our school used Judy Miller videos from time to time and I loved them. She has a way of explaining the patho so that the s/s of a disease process make total sense. I used a lot of what I learned from her videos as background knowledge while studying for NCLEX. I thought the questions were good, but I think I benefited from answering many more questions from other sources (NCSBN, Kaplan, Saunders).
I absolutely agree that understanding a certain system is the key to understanding disease process. And then once you understand those two, the nursing guidelines, or teaching, or medications - whatever - those will tend to fall in place for you. Good luck!
