please....... to those who took the boards and passed on the 2nd try, i want to hear from you on how did you cope up this very depressing experience. thank you.. GOD bless..

OPEN THAT RESULT ENVELOPE! We're here to support you. What if the results aren't what you think? DON'T assume you know just from the size/width/depth of the envelope! How very silly!

Just look .... then back online and let us know what the result was if you still need asst. w/online sympathy! GOOD LUCK! LET US HEAR FROM YOU!

I'm sorry to hear you did not pass, but that thick envelope will indicate which sections you passed and which ones you need to work on. I would suggest you take some time to recoup. Most states (like California) require a 45 day waiting period before you can retake the exam. So take some time to "grieve" and then say to yourself that you will succeed. Get back in the saddle and develop a study plan.

Suzanne has a 6 week study plan based off the Saunder's NCLEX book which you might be interested in. I would also suggest purchasing the Kaplan QBank (it will give you a lot of practice questions). Do 100 questions a day for 6 weeks and go over each one to understand the rationales.

Good luck. You will make it. There was one poster I saw who passed after her 4th time. So keep the faith. You can do it!

If you want to use my plan, then you need to do that alone, especially if you did not pass the first time. You need to focus on rationales and the worst thing that you can do is use several different sources at this point.

Your choice..................

My plan has 100 questions per day, plus a review of rationales............and no more per day. So how do you plan to use something else as well? Then you would not be following my plan.

ok suzanne.. thanks much.. yeah, im gonna do your plan alone. but im still going to buy the latest version. more power GOD BLESS...

My qbank costs an additional $85 from the original $300+ they were charging for online review. so all in all, it costs $400+... and this was the cheapest plan they had to offer aside from the home kit.

jus got my nclex exam result today as well, unforunately, i didnt make it as well, i dont feel bad myself cuz i know i will be able to take it again, i.m just worried about what might husband might feel since he is the one financed the test. he didnt say anything tho when he found out. i self reviewed and thought that i am prepared but the test turned out differently. bombarded me with 80% of drugs/medication stuff.!!! which i am not familiar with really...(not used to us based products since i worked most of my career as a neuro-surg nurse in engand,uk alone)... test resuts wer nearly passed...good! lol!.. i didnt fail any...lol...

i just wanna ask... i have an interim permit and they didnt revoke it yet, is the employer gonna take it and keep it as their record when you apply? or u keep it for your record and just submit a copy of it for the employer? i need to submit back to nclex personnel it to retake the exam.

Hi. I have a question for you all. I am on loans that I do not have to pay back until 6 mos. after I graduate. Say I graduate and then I take the NCLEX and fail and then have to wait to take again and then fail and so forth (HOPEFULLY that will not happen), but what about the loan repayment?? Can you keep deferring it, or after the 6 mos. and you don't pass boards are you outta luck?? Yikes.

your interim permit is null and void, and becomes so as soon as you take the nclex exam. if you are aware of your results, and continue to practice under the auspices of being an rn, then you are open to proscecution by the courts. you need to notify your employer as soon as possible. you are going to need to apply again to the state where you originally applied, as well as to pearson-vue and pay both of their fees again. you do not need to do anything with that ip, it is expired.

the exam will focus on your weak points, that is well known in the us. and to work in the us, it is your responsibility to know and understand the us medications that we use.........
