Denver School of Nursing October 2017

Published

Has anyone applied to DSN BSN program for this October? Just reaching out to other fellow applicants. Also, have you heard of good things about this school? And does work/volunteer experience really matter in the application? My GPA is over a 3.0 and I already have my BA, but I haven't worked in a healthcare setting.

Me!! No volunteer experience due to having to work full time. I am so nervous.

Hey all! I have also applied to the program for the October start. i am very nervous. I have quite a bit of healthcare experience and a B.S. Only worry is my GPA. It's on the lower side, so I am very concerned. I was told they will notify by email May 13th. Good Luck to everyone!!!

I am very very concerned!

Hey Guys and Gals!

I also applied for the October 2017 Start, I got my Acceptance Interview last week, if you have not received one yet but are waiting be patient! I had a 3.8GPA and had a prior A.A.S. in a non-health related degree. I had only 6 months of work experience as a CNA. I look forward to meeting those of you who applied and will receive emails. For the OP if your GPA is over a 3 and you have a prior degree you should be in decent shape, as far as things I have heard about the school, yes google will make the school look terrible, and friends have told me if each class doesnt come in with a positive attitude and try and work together instead of competing against each other (healthy competition is fine but you catch my drift) the experience can be terrible. I am excited to meet those of you who get an acceptance/interview email and PLEASE everyone stay positive :)

Did you get in?!

I have my interview may 26th í ½í¸ Super excited to start this journey!

Hi, everyone. I have my interview on May 30th. I wonder how many students they accept in each cohort? Anyone in Northern Colorado? I'm 59 miles away from DSN.

I asked the same question and it seems that around 70% or so get accepted. Since it's a privately funded college, I think they'll accept almost anyone if you have the money.
