Hi all!
I graduated in May and after some travel I passed the NCLEX!! Now, I have been looking in Denver for a new grad program and I am having an extremely difficult time..... I would prefer to work at Denver Health and have gone down there as I was told to be persistent. No such luck, as usual, not hiring new grads! So, my question is......how do you be persistent without being annoying and rude? I want to show some assertiveness but do not want to be a pain.
also does anyone have any suggestions for new grads in the denver area? My first choice is Denver Health, but I would love to work at any of the hospitals here. any advice, i'm starting to lose a little bit of the umph that I need to get a job.

I do not know of the many hospitals in the Denver area. I do know that either UC Denver or Boulder, only starts out their new grads at $20/hour. Pretty cheap if you ask me. I know what the cost of living is in Colorado and it's still cheap.
In the area of persistence, I don't think you can be too persistent. I have called and called one hospital here in SF, sent my resume in more than three times and applied to their hospital, three times. The nurse recruiter knew me by name and finally, I was hired:) I've been unemployed for a year here in the SF bay area. Keep being persistent, it pays off. As long as they know your name, you're good. It gets easier from there. But make sure your resume is on par.
