Hi everyone!
I'm basically new to this site so I don't exactly know where to post this. Hope i'm doin it right.
I just had my application for NCLEX-RN denied. I'm in California and a graduate of an international nursing school based in the Philippine It was denies because my clinical cases were not completed during the same semester as the corresponding theoretical instruction. I know there are fellow applicants out there who have been denieddue to the same reason.
I am planning to complete the needed course work in an accredited nursing achool in California. I just want to have an idea how long do have to study/go to school again.is it several months? A year? 2years maybe? I'm hoping it's not too long. To those having the same situation, please advise and give me an idea. Thank u so much!!

Thread moved to nurse registration. There are at least a half a dozen threads on this subject. Thread title updated as you are applying for a license to become an RN by examination. One does not apply for the NCLEX as the NCLEX is but one step in the licensing process

As it was suggested to you, best to take the extra time to read all the various threads on the CA BRN, the requirements, the reasons for denial, etc.
The long and short of all this is that there has NOT been a single PH grads that's so far successfully enrolled AND completed any said courses in the state of CA and finally obtained their ATT to take the NCLEX-RN (not the LVN exam).
However, if you're determined that CA is the one and only state that you must stay in, to work and practice the nursing profession from the moment you get your RN license, then, I would do what this poster did and someone else reporting on the same thread of her friends who all recently got their ATT in CA and soon if not by now have already taken the CA NCLEX-RN this year.
The OP of that thread pretty much tells it like it is and what she's gone thru and then says she learned to solve it.
Here's the read link and any questions I would post up on that thread:

Good luck!
Thank u steppybay for the response! I'll
go read it now. :)

For those Foreign RN graduate, there is always hope , i maybe a few that got in to deficiency program , unfortunately i am the first and the last person that they offer the program in my school, Currently I receive mail from BON that allow me to take the NCLEX, but my school nursing department need to provide the break down of the class base on the transcript and i decided to wait until my school completed their part. Of course it is not cheap i spent about 15k for all 4 classes (OB, MEd surg, CC, and Psych).
My advice is call all the school on the BON approval list even for Master degree approval school and don't stop trying. BTW I graduated from PH in 2011
