so i went to my interview with this agency, and they were hiring for US medical staff INC. has anyone heard of this? they have facilities in new jersey and new york, they said they're going to pay 26.50 per hour 40 hrs a week.. and i'm supposed to pay them $3000 for the lawyer's fee to process my visa, then as i read the contract, it said the 3000 dollars is for board and lodging,etc basically everything that the employer spends will be reimbursed by the employee with that 3000. im confused because in the 2nd paragraph of the contract it said that the employer will pay for everything, but on the last page it said that the 3k as i said earlier basically a reimbursment.. can somebody shed some light on this?:icon_roll

The web site is very misleading, they did not cite one hospital or nursing home they do business and there is no way for the to predict when retrogression is over.

I was offered by a certain john from deltacare was in contact with me. I had doubts about the kind of transactions that I was given, so I told them I was not interested anymore. Anyways, I had another agency who was still processing my papers.

At least I learned now that I was making the right move.

i signed up with delta care... well, they told me that they've already sent my documents to the USCIS

well... i also signed up with them... but pulled out when they got to the point of asking me to sign the papers, like the ds230... coz i was in doubt. It got to the point where everything got so suspicious. I'm glad I pulled out in time.

I just told them I would pay them for their troubles, since then they did not try and contact me anymore... so I assumed its all over. No bills and etc...

Don't sign anything if you don't have an idea about the agency. Agencies that state "WE ARE NOT AFFECTED BY RETROGRESSION" are suspicious. And you might as well read articles about Sentosa 27, just to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

For now, it would be better to rank up on your hospital experience. =)

You are looking at seven years plus for a chance at a green card, agencies do not issue visas. Only the US government.

And the salaries that are being quoted are actually quite low for the surrounding area as well.

More importantly, they are going to be placing you and if the employer does not have work for you down the road, then all is cancelled out by the US government as well and you would be starting over from scratch. And more importantly, check to see what their cancellation fee is, it can be quite high.

And if all is being paid for, then you should not be charged anything, and including the $3,000. Any agency that asks for that now, knowing of the long wait is just taking advantage of you.

And to add, I have never heard of this agency before, and know nothing about them. But what I am seeing here posted about them is not something that we like to see being done.

Deltacare hasn't asked any monies from me now. The 3,000 dollars will be paid when i get there on a staggered basis. The said amount will be for my plane ticket, visa screen certificate, a month's rent, attorney's fees and other fees to be paid for my visa application (I-120). They said they'll be following the prevailing rate when i get there.

mr. Lalic said it is the agency who will pay for everything, the plane tickets and such, it is also in the first page of the contract that they will shoulder everything.. however in the last page of the contract, that single page, it said that when you get to wherever you are going to be placed in the US, that you will pay them 3k, this 3k is the payment for what the agency paid for, like your plane ticket, your lodging for 1 month and etc. so how is everything free if in the end you'd still be paying for them?

@suzanne: the cancellation fee: if you still owe them 2 years,hypothetically speaking, the number of hours you work in the 2 years multiplied by your salary..

i also went for an interview with deltacare here in cebu. they said that i have to wait for 1 month because they still have to present us to the different US nursing homes before they'll let us sign the final contract.

who else here are contracted with deltacare or US medical staff?
