HELLO GUYS, JUST WANT TO GATHER SOME INFO RE: DELANO HOSPITAL COZ IM APPLYING FOR A JOB AS A FULL TIME STAFF NURSE. HOW'S THE COMMUNITY? IS IT SAFE TO LIVE THERE/IDEAL PLACE TO RAISE A FAMILY? WORK LOAD? PAY RATES? HOUSE RENTS? ETC.

No I haven't applied but I went to a career fair two weeks ago and they were there.

Unfortunately, Delano has a bad rap, and for good reason. Delano has a lot of gang activity because it is in central Ca. and the north and south gangs fight for control. It's not unusual to hear on the news about a shooting at least every other month. I live in Wasco, which is about 20 miles North of Delano, and have lived here for about 15 years.

Hello,

What Hospital you're applying? SOme are saying that they are in financial trouble at the moment. Loads of nurses had been offered a job but then they were withdrawn. I dont know the full reason yet but its so frustrating. Contract signed september then withdrawn November. Waste of time. anyway, be careful.
