Deferred Action Childhood Arrival And Nursing program

Hello, everyone. I am currently attending a community college in New Jersey. I was considering nursing as a career but before I make the decision and start taking the classes to get into the program, I wanted to know if there is a possibility that I would get into the program with Deferred Action. because I read that one needs to be a U.S permanent resident or citizen in order to get accepted into the nursing program. Can you please explain to me how you got into the nursing program with DACA in New Jersey, New York or anywhere nearby? Thank you!
