5 days till Nclex- ?s

Published

Congrats to all you who have gone before me and passed this monster! I can't believe it is almost my turn, and I'd like some suggestions. I feel confident in my nursing knowledge at this point, have had some review classes, don't plan on spending alot of time in the next five days with my nose in Nclex books. But I am planning on spending just a couple of hours on saturday for some last minute review/refreshers. I was thinking about going over normal lab values, therapeutic drug values (dilantin, dig, theophylliine etc.) and emergent subjects like MI/ CVA/ ARDS/ Shock. So what other info is essential to review? Just the most important!! I have promised myself not to freak out and not to try and study everything I have ever learned b/c of my nerves. Thanks!

Hi there!! I am taking my exam too in 5 days from now. Like you, I am not planning on reading in the remaining 5days. I want to just rest and maybe go shopping:) Let me know for your updates.

Goodluck to us both.

I face it in five days too. Good luck to you all!

Well, you are in the right track, just relax esp now that you know you are well-prepared already for the exam.Be confident. And yeah, know your lab values and the meds,it's very important. As long as you know how to prioritize and assess patients, you're good to go to take nclex.

Always remember the things you have reviewed. The nclex exam may appear to be very different from those practice test you have done, but as long as you know how to apply your critical thinking skills, then you'll ace it.Goodluck!:)
