brush up topics you aren't familiar with...if you have the lacharity prioritization delegation and assignment book..do a quick run-through of the questions..know your infection control...good luck :) and pray...

Hi Jabewet!

I would suggest reviewing whatever you found to be your biggest weakness. Your test is only 5 days away, so you don't want to be cramming at the last minute because that will stress you out.

I was weakest with meds, so the last few days before my exam I reviewed meds. Make sure to give yourself the day off before your exam. You aren't going to forget anything. If you feel you HAVE to study the day before the exam, make it a point to stop at 12:00pm, for example. That way you will give your body & mind the chance to relax & rejuvenate before you take your exam the next day.

Best of luck to you! :)

Good luck!!! I just finished my pre-nursing courses and am waiting to hear if I got into my schools nursing program so forgive me if this is a stupid question but how many times are you allowed to take the NCLEX? Sorry I have no advice but best of luck to you!!!!

KGMM,

It depends on which state you live in. I live in CA & there isn't a limit to the amount of times you can take the NCLEX. I have heard that some states do have a limit on how many times you can take it & within how many years you have to take it before you need to take additional classes. You can get this info from your states Board Of Registered Nursing website.

Good luck to you! Hope you get accepted to the nursing program :)

KGMM-definitely not a stupid question! It all comes down to each individual state. I went to school in FL and there you get 3 tries and if you don't pass you have to pay for and take a remedial course but then you have another 3 tries after that. I live in Utah and thats where I am taking my boards and the state of Utah gives you a maximum of 4 tries and after that you are done, forever lol So if I don't pass on my next try then I cannot test for my Utah license ever again since they dont offer a remedial course like FL. So you just have to look into the particulat state you will test in!

Thank you guys for the information! I didn't know it was different per state, I guess I always thought that would be one exam that would have a standard so I'm glad I asked! I live in NJ so I will have to find that out...first I need my acceptance letter, I have a really strong GPA so I'm hoping I don't have any problems! Apparently I should be happy I don't live in Utah!! Wow, I hope NJ doesn't have that same rule about 3 times and out for life, talk about stress! GOOD LUCK! I'm sure you'll pass it!!! Good luck and thank you both for the information I appreciate it!!! And good luck to the person who initially posted this thread, sorry didn't mean to hijack your topic! GOOD LUCK!! You can do it!!!:yeah::redbeathe
