Curry College ACCEL 2018

Published

Hoping to hear from other students that are applying or have applied to Curry's ACCEL accelerated BSN program - the application deadline is coming up soon!

Hey everyone - excited to finish up my application and love that we get to find out so soon about acceptance (July 1st!). Curry sounds like an awesome school and pretty decent price tag compared to the other Boston-area heavy hitters. Still need to take Microbio, Stats, and Dev. Psych this summer/fall ughhhh thank goodness for Portage Learning, ha.

Hello I have a question : please do you have to send in official transcripts prior to the deadline? Or is it okay to just upload them and mail the official transcripts later?

The Curry app is completed through NursingCAS and they require you send official transcripts directly from each school before (you can't mail it in yourself). These have to be submitted before deadline, yes.

Hello premedbsn,

Do I have to take that cover letter to all the college I attended to , in order for them to mail my transcripts to nursing CAS in Watertown,MA or can I just use my nursingCAS on the address for my transcripts to not go missing?

Is it okay to upload my "student copy" transcript on the NursingCAS app?

Did you turn down Concordia college in NY?

Thanks for your help so far.

Looks like we won't be hearing until mid-July at the earliest based on the number of applicants already.... I'm working on getting my application in... I will have all my fingers and toes crossed for the decision later!!!!

Hi - had everyone finished their applications? I just need to hit submit. What were y'all's stats for pre-reqs etc? Just curious since so many apply to this program.

I still have to take Human Growth and Development. How's everyone's GPA? I am also worried about not having any medical experience.

Good luck to all of us! Wondering how many applicants this year....

I'm not sure how the NursingCAS is calculating my GPA. I have older undergrad grades + recent grades from all of the Pre-reqs + a master's degree. It listed my cumulative undergrad as 3.18 and overall as 3.28. I'm hoping my most recent stuff is considered more highly than my old undergrad grades.

I still have to take Microbio, Stats, and Human G&D. Overall gpa 3.3, with 4.0 for 3 prereqs (AP1/2, Chem). Doing my remaining prereqs on Portage Learning, anyone else use them? Crossing my fingers for Curry, it's the only school I'm applying to!

@Premedtobsn.. I am on the same boat as you...only applying for Curry. I am really hoping and praying to get in. If not I have to start looking for other schools...I didn't know about Portage Learning until now and just looked it up... I wish I knew about this before. Mother of 3 years old twin...would've made my life so much easier....
