Starting a support thread here!! :) There should be about 200 of us applying for 30-odd slots...

Who out there is trying to keep busy with other things while waiting to hear if they've been accepted?? :rolleyes:

Thanks! I think you were the student speaker at the Curry open house in February, yes? A little nervous hearing they get 200+ apps for 30-odd slots. Thankfully only have to bite my nails for another two weeks. :uhoh3:

Anyone else joining me in the 2 week wait (which has an entirely different meaning on another board I visit, LOL!) :chuckle

I'm in the 2WW too... I wasn't nervous earlier this month but now I'm really anxious... I was trying to take the - if it's meant to be it will be approach - but it's not working now! I did really well in my pre-reqs and I feel that my resume and essay are fairly solid... If anything my prior undergraduate record will be what holds me back... :uhoh3:

If it's any solace, my undergraduate record was spotty too. It was more than twenty years ago and I had some extenuating circumstances which I explained in my essay. So, they do seem to look at the whole picture, and if you did really well on your prereqs, then don't despair. Of course, this isn't a promise and your mileage may vary.

Just got my letter in the mail today --- I'M IN!! *wine The letter said, "The selection of the ACCEL class this year was extremely difficult due to the high number of well qualified candidates. You should feel proud of this accomplishment." I am so incredibly thankful... and excited!! Wa-HOOO!!! :anpom:

OK, so who's celebrating with me??? :chrs: Would be great to get to know some future classmates before we begin...
