Hi all,
I was on this website while I was waiting to hear my decision for admission into the RN Program. I applied for candidacy earlier in Spring to start in Fall 2022. They first emailed us on July 12 and I was told I was waitlisted, and my rank was number 2.
The next day, I received an email stating I was taken off the waitlist and accepted ? ? YAY! I just wanted to provide some insights on my stats:
TEAS - 92% - this is classified as Exemplary. You only need 58 or something in all sections - just obtain the percentage needed for "proficiency".
Grades: I took all the classes I could take without being in the Nursing program itself, not just the key courses. I did so because there are only four key courses, and I took two of them a very long time ago when I was not serious about college at all (and frankly, depressed), and got Bs in. I already have a Bachelors from a different college. Therefore, my key course GPA itself was only around 3.5.
In terms of science classes, my SCB 203 grade was B+ (took it a while ago and I was actually thinking of applying when it would expire after the seven year mark. I was planning to retake it and get an A), and SCB 204 (A&P II), SCB 260 (Microbiology), SCC 110 (Chemistry) were As.
After taking the remaining classes, such as Community Health and Microbiology that I got As in, my GPA for the nursing program was around 3.65 (not general GPA, which is much higher).
I was super sad when I got the first email about being waitlisted, had lost all hope, but was then elated. When I got the first email though, I started thinking of other alternatives; I suggest everyone should. Good luck everyone! Posting this here only because the previous threads have helped me so much ?

Wow congratulations. I have A for ap1 and 2, Microbiology, eng 1, psy 1 and 2, SCN 195. And I have b- for English 2 and b for stat and c+ for chemistry which I took in York college. And I am looking forward to do great on TEAS. Do you think I have chance to get into RN program or should I go for LPN?

Hi there, I hope you're doing well. I recently took the TEAS exam and scored a 78. I also have a GPA 3.8 and I was wondering do you know anyone who got in with a 78 TEAS exam rate. I am feeling down.
Hello.. I think you have a fair chance of getting into RN. I know someone who had 3.9 GPA with 70 on TEAS exam got into the program.. and I also know someone who had 3.7 GPA and 90 on TEAS got into the RN program.
If anyone has 3.5 GPA and net proficiency level of TEAS (whatever percentage they require), my advice would be to apply to R.N. Program
